Brussels police on Sunday evening carried out a raid in connection with the Paris attacks, but the fugitive Salah Abdeslam is not believed to be the target.
According to the broadcaster RTBF, the raid was carried out in the center of Brussels, just meters from the Molenbeek neighborhood where Abdeslam and his brother Brahim, who blew himself up in Paris, lived.
Armored vehicles and federal special forces were at the scene. Just before 7 p.m. police were seen evacuating the building where the raid took place.
RTBF said one person had been arrested.
